Today, augmented reality is not anymore considered as a futuristic technology like the ones represented in pioneering sci-fi movies like Blade Runner. It is rather a concrete reality. More and more companies from different sectors – from the 2.0 healthcare to the food and museum sectors – are integrating this technology to their products, transforming the way one can use the services they offer. The possible uses of this technology are limitless and for this reason it is now employed in the automotive sector too. In the following paragraphs, we will list 3 practical examples of how augmented reality applies to the automotive sector.
